Text With Purpose!

May 12, 2021

The reality is that the majority of us spend most of our time on our phones! Whilst there are so many different ways to market to clientele (mail, email, social media), text marketing is one of the most beneficial in today’s environment! In fact, according to Forbes, the reach of a text message is greater than an email and a social media post combined!

Even more impressively:

We’ve covered the do’s and don’ts of text marketing before (check out the post here: Ready Set Go! – Moroccanoil Beautiful Business), but let’s look at some ways you can implement texting into your marketing strategy. Need a refresher on the benefits?

Text marketing is:

  1. Immediate
  2. Direct
  3. Personal

AND.. when using text marketing, you are reaching clients who have opted in. In other words, clients who are interested in what you have to tell them! To keep them interested, you want to make sure that you are always bringing value to any communication to your clients.

Check out these 5 ways to take advantage of text marketing:

1. Introduce a new service

Use a text message to get the word out quickly and efficiently about any new services!
Tip – create a booking link as a call-to-action that you can include it in the message.

2. Flash Events / Time sensitive deals

A text is a perfect vehicle for anything that is time-sensitive! By nature, a flash event doesn’t last long so you want to get it out to your clientele quickly and with a guarantee that they will see it! Need some inspiration?

3. Appointment reminders

This may seem obvious, but texting appointment reminders is one of the most efficient ways to reach your clients! You can send a reminder a week before and again the day of to make sure that you really reduce any no-shows and ultimately, lost revenue!

4. Upsell or Add-on

Using text messages is a great way to add an incentive for your client to make a purchase or to increase their average order value! Receiving something right at their fingertips can be the small nudge your client needs to take action. Keep it simple and enticing!

5. Reviews

We all know the importance of customer reviews!
After an appointment, send your clients a text reminder to leave your business a review! You can integrate a direct link into the message to make it as easy as possible.

Text message marketing is a great way to add another communication touchpoint with your clients in your strategy. The Golden Rule? Always text with purpose!
