So how can you stand out from the pack?

Remember your goal…. To reassure your team, loyal and new clients that you are taking every precaution necessary and that their health and welfare is your priority.

Do not be afraid to think outside of the box and communicate in a way that will get their attention and highlight the steps you have taken to make their salon experience as safe as possible!

Make a Video!

The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, so a video must be worth millions! Why not create a short video going through your new protocols? This will give them an in-depth and experiential overview of what changes they can expect when making an appointment, visiting the salon, and what protocols they need to follow.

Do not hesitate to inject a little personality and humor into your video! Get everyone in the salon involved, this can help to create a sense of team in dealing with the new normal and that you are all in this together! You can even share the bloopers reel for some light-hearted relief!

Create an Infographic

Visually absorbing information can be both more effective (and, let’s face it, more enjoyable) than reading a lengthy list! Research shows that visuals with color increase people’s willingness to read a piece of content by 80%!

Break down all of your new protocols into a simple but engaging infographic. There are lots of different tools online which will allow you to do this for free! Make the information accessible and easy to digest.

Questions Please!

Invite your client base to ask questions. This is unchartered territory for everyone, and your clients may have questions! Role-play with your team in dealing with questions and answering all concerns accurately and with professionalism. Utilize social media and create a forum to start a discussion. The more engaged and responsive you are with your clients, the more comfortable they will feel!

Communicating in an engaging and positive manner will help you and your business stand out and strengthen your reputation as a professional responsible place to visit.
