With a theme of Rococo Angels, The Blonds Fall/Winter 2020 show at New York Fashion Week was focused around creating a spectacle and celebrating beauty. The hair look, created by Moroccanoil Artistic Director Kevin Hughes, radiated luxury and opulence and was inspired by the textures and intricacies of the collection. A key part of each look was the sculpting of baby hairs to frame the face – something that can add a twist to a classic ponytail or bun style!
STEP 1: Begin with hair in a sleek ponytail or low bun with a center parting.
STEP 2: Separate any baby hairs around the hairline that naturally fall out of the ponytail. This will give you an idea of how much hair you have to work with.
STEP 3: Apply a dime-sized amount of the Moroccanoil Strong Hold Gel to a Baby Hair brush or comb.
STEP 4: Select a quarter-inch baby hair section and pull the hair down so it is taut.
Apply the gel close to the scalp and begin creating swirls and curls with the brush. Lay the hair flat to the face so it is secure and sleek.
STEP 5 :Continue to sculpt the baby hairs to frame the face and add more product as needed. The Moroccanoil Strong Hold Gel is easily brushed out!
STEP 6: Finish with the Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray in Strong.
TIP: This sculpting can be done anywhere along the hair line (for example, the nape of the neck). It is also great for anyone with curly and wavy hair!
